Should You Start Shaving Your Hair
If you are starting to lose your hair a little younger than other men, you might be wondering about a big question: do I shave my head or not? Here is some help for that dilemma. A survey of guys who regularly head shave has revealed some pros and cons to this practice. The good points: 1. Shaving your head can give the image that you are young 2. For the most part it looks much better than a greasy hair style 3. It can improve your manly stature The downsides are: 1. Others can clearly see you are balding (no matter how good you think your shaving technique is!) 2. It won’t look great if you don’t have a well shaped head 3. You will have to spend time shaving to keep up the style. But remember, shaving your head is not for everyone. Suppose you have major skin problems on your scalp, or a really skinny neck, the look might not work for you. There are no hard and fast rules though. Often, the only way to figure out if a shaved head will look good on you is to do it. One way to help you decide is to gradually get your hair cut shorter, until it is eventually shaved. If it’s not a good look, it will become obvious to you during the process (or maybe to others like friends and family who will hopefully let you know nicely!). Another bonus is that if the look isn’t going to be a winner, you’ll find out while you still have some length on it so that re-growing won’t take as much time. A word of caution: don’t make this process too gradual because if it’s a bad look it may not be obvious to you and those who already know you, but it will be very noticeable to someone who has never met you before (such as a job interviewer or a future girlfriend….!). The best thing to do is to make sure that it is something that you like and not what everyone else thinks. You don’t have to worry too much because most men who shave their heads bald end up looking good and most love it.
