Many people deal with the annoyance of dry mouth on a daily basis. It’s an unpleasant feeling, and unfortunately one that many suffering from it happen to accept, despite the fact that there are definitely ways to deal with it.

Whatever your situation looks like right now, the important thing is figuring out how to put an end to it. The following pieces of advice that I’m about to offer, if followed, will no doubt help you out with your situation. Here we go.

The most obvious thing, and the least expensive thing to do, is to keep your mouth replenished with water. I drink about two liters of water on a daily basis (at the minimum), and I find that it really helps with my dry mouth situation.

Not only does water naturally benefit your dry mouth, but drinking water would normally imply that you’re not drinking things full of caffeine and/or sugar, both of which end up drying out your mouth more than it was than you started. Alcohol happens to do the same thing, so if you drink, have even more water.

I would also recommend eating many vegetables and fruits. These foods are full of enzymes and other vitamins and minerals that balance out the state of your mouth. They also activate the salivary glands in your mouth, which in turn leads to more moisture through and through.

If you’ve suffered from dry mouth before, you might notice that the symptoms extend beyond the roof of your mouth and end up affecting the insides of your cheeks and your gums. Fruits and vegetables will undoubtedly help with these things.

Another thing I would definitely suggest doing is beginning the use of a product such as Biotene, which fights dry mouth symptoms from the root. With a formula that attacks the bacteria and moisturizes your mouth, Biotene has worked wonders for me since I started using it two years ago.

These are a few of the ways that I’ve handled my dry mouth situation, and it’s barely an issue in my life anymore. Follow my lead and you won’t regret it.
