If your goal is to develop large biceps, then chances are you’re going to need both a decent diet plan, and a training plan. The idea here is that, since you biceps are tapped out, your lats will have to work harder to perform the movement. It sounds like a good idea, but, does it really work? Try it out and see what you think.

If you are finished with the big compound moves, then it’s time to move on to the arm exercises to get big biceps. Hit your arms from as many angles as you can, but don’t over do it. I like to do a standing curl to hit the middle portion of the biceps; a decline curl (about 10 – 20 degrees off vertical) for my biceps to get it in the stretched position; and a concentration or spider curl to really hit the peak contraction point. By the way these are all supinated, or palms up.

One thing that you can do is superset the biceps. There are three tricep exercises that you can take advantage of in order do to this. One of these is an overhead tricep extension which is a standing tricep pushdown and kick-back.

You will need to make a decision as to what position is best for the day. There is the middle, stretched or peak, etc. You’ll want to do three or four supersets per day, but no more. Make sure you try a different position with your arms each and every time. Also remember that it’s very important to warm up before you actually try any of this.

To hit the brachialis muscle under the biceps and maintain good balance in the arms, turn your hands palms down. The brachialis is the workhorse in the upper arm for flexing the elbow. By turning your hands palms down, you eliminate the biceps and concentrate on the brachialis. If you make the muscle under the biceps bigger, it will push the biceps up and make it stand out more.

Make sure you are on a good diet. If you are not, then chances are you will never attain the muscle growth that you want. Make sure that you do complete workouts, and most of all, eat properly.

Now that most of the dust has settled with the NBA free agency, it is safer to make predictions on who will be the most successful teams next year. Clearly the biggest winner is the Miami Heat, but there are other teams who have won big this offseason.

Here is a look at my predictions of the best teams in the NBA for the upcoming 2011 season.

When talking about the best overall teams in the league next season, the favorite is still the Los Angeles Lakers. If the defending back to back champions bring back the whole team, then they are in good shape to dominate in the Western Conference. They better hope that Derek Fisher does not end up signing with the Miami Heat.

It will not be easy for the Lakers, however. The Miami Heat have assembled a dream team that this writer has a feeling will have some more pieces added before all is said and done. Miami will be a team to beat for the foreseeable future and may suck the fun out of professional basketball in the process.

Besides the Heat next year, another Eastern Conference team that won out is the Bulls organization. Carlos Boozer is one of the best power forwards in the league and fits perfectly with this team. He will join Derek Rose and Joakim Noah to form quite the competitive team.

The other major contender in the Eastern Conference will likely be the Orlando Magic. They have had very successful seasons the past two years and return all of their important pieces. When Jameer Nelson is healthy the Magic are a serious force to reckon with.

The Oklahoma City Thunder is likely ready to make a splash. They were the #8 seed in the West last year and took the Lakers to 7 games. They will likely be much better this year.

The Portland Trailblazers will also be a very competitive team. Brnadon Roy is a winner and if all goes well, we might actually see a full season from Greg Oden this year.

This year’s World Cup has gotten off to an interesting start. There are both positives and negatives about the tournament that we will discuss.

It’s unfortunate that the tournament has been a let down so far. You can’t tell me otherwise. Most games have been ties, usually 1 goal a piece, or a team has won 1-0. Call me old fashioned, but I want to see some goals! There are many possible reasons for this drought in scoring.

Another possible cause of the lack of goals is teams are just playing better defense. There have been less shots on goal, so its possible.

I don’t know if it’s an American thing, but every soccer fan I have spoken to cannot stand the noise makers. If we as viewers are constantly distracted by the sound, how can the players not be? Plus, I don’t see how it benefits either team, it’s a pretty constant noise flow.

Since this is the first World Cup tournament hosted in Africa, it is possible that many of the teams are simply not used to the change in weather and altitude.

That is not to say that there haven’t been great moments in the tournament. Just earlier today, Spain, a heavy favorite, was defeated by Switzerland. Spain was expected to be a contender for the title, which will now be a difficult task.

Unfortunately for the host country, they most likely will not see the second round. At the time this article is written, South Africa will have to beat France by a considerable margin in order to keep their tournament hopes alive. At least the country is bringing in money.
